Frequently asked
Is Recipe Keeper free?
Yes. The core app is free with limits on saved recipes and a few Pro-only conveniences. A Pro subscription unlocks unlimited recipes, voice search, meal planning, smart timers, and removes ads.
Which platforms are supported?
Recipe Keeper is built natively for iPhone and iPad on iOS / iPadOS 17 and above. Your library syncs across every iOS device signed into the same iCloud account.
How does the AI recipe import work?
When you share an Instagram reel, a TikTok, a screenshot, or a PDF, Recipe Keeper extracts text from the media (on-device OCR plus, when needed, an LLM call) and turns it into a structured recipe with ingredients, steps, and timing. The original media isn't stored on our servers.
Will my recipes sync across devices?
Yes. iCloud sync is on by default and runs through Apple's CloudKit, so your recipes, photos, and meal plans stay in your iCloud account.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the iOS Settings app → tap your name → Subscriptions → Recipe Keeper, and tap Cancel. Your Pro features remain active until the end of the current billing period.
Do you sell my data?
No. The short version: we collect only what's needed to run the app, never sell it, and you can delete your data at any time. Read our privacy policy for the long answer.
Is there an Android version?
Not today. Recipe Keeper is iOS-only and uses native APIs (CloudKit, Live Activities, WidgetKit) that don't have direct Android equivalents.
Can I export my recipes?
Yes. Every recipe can be exported as a PDF or shared as plain text. A bulk export is on the roadmap.
